Current Law Summary: SB241 In Nevada, the liability of the contractor is limited based on the "failure of a person other than the contractor or his agent, employee or subcontractor to take reasonable action to reduce the damages or maintain the residence." (NRS 40.640) Statutes cover claim requirement of written notice that includes reasonable detail for defects and damages, expert opinion regarding cause, nature and extent.
